Reedsy Discovery Launch

Tonight, when the clock strikes midnight, The Ballad of James Layne will get launched on Reedsy.

What does this mean? To be honest, I have no clue. Now, I did sign up for the Reedsy Discovery service, in which a seasoned reviewer picked up my book for a fee, and did a professional review for it, so I can use that to help advertise. Also, they say the book will be promoted by them to a large group of bibliophiles on their feed, so hopefully I score a few fans from that crowd.

It’s all part of the learning process, I suppose. If this actually gets any traction for the book, you can bet I’ll be adding The Aria of Cain Mezcal to their list as soon as it’s ready to go, and in the future Ian’s book. To be honest, I’ve had a bit of trouble getting word for this thing out there, and since I refuse to sink to spamming emails or popup ads, I’m probably going to remain near the back of the pack when it comes to marketing. Hopefully Reedsy turns out to be a solid way to get the word out that I can count on not to be… unethical?

Anyhoo, if you’ve read this far, please click the link and have a look at the review, maybe leave your own if you’ve read it, and help get the word out! Remember, it goes live at midnight, November 11, 2023 (A little less than ten hours from the time of writing this.)
