The initial draft of The Aria of Cain Mezcal is officially finished! It’s been a long time coming, but I can finally get to work on fleshing out the details I had to pass over on the first run. It actually came together a lot quicker than my first book, and I feel pretty confident in the story I’ve been able to give Cain.
This is meant to be a story full of action, in the vain of movies like Commando and other 1980’s franchises, as Cain is turning out to be a bit of a magnet for a good fight. Writing his scenes is always a little cathartic, as through him I get to live out a few boyhood fantasies of sticking it to the bad guy. The image posted with this update is Bing’s idea of what the opening scene would look like, and as in the times I’ve used the AI before, it pretty much nailed the feel.
I’m expecting to get through the editing over Christmas, and I’m looking forward to a release sometime in February or March, so stay tuned!
